Professor Jerry Uelsmann, a respected American photographer, divided his students into two groups at the beginning of the academic year. People from the first group were to be assessed on the basis of the amount of work they did. During the semester, they were to take as many photos as possible. It wasn’t their quality that mattered, but how many they would make. On the other hand, people in the second group were to be judged on the basis of only one great photo. Their task was therefore to provide only one but perfect photograph.
