One of the values at the Paley European Institute is creating a harmonious community. The treatment process of our patients is often spread over many years. This is one of the reasons why we want every person who comes to us to feel that they are coming to a place they know well and where they are not anonymous.
“No one is born hating another person because of the color of their skin, origin or religion. People must learn to hate, and since they are able to do so, they are also able to learn to love, because love is closer to the human heart than its opposition”.
Nelson Mandela
On September 18, 2021, the largest family picnic in the Institute’s history was held – Paley Family Day!
In an ideal world, family life would always be full of roses, parents happy and children smiling and healthy. The reality, however, can be more difficult and it presents itself in shades of gray instead of pink colors.
Being a healthy sibling of a disabled or chronically ill child is quite a challenge. It has many benefits, but also a number of burdens and threats. Being the sister or brother of a child with special needs can develop empathy and sensitivity to others and the injustices in the world. It is also associated with greater responsibility and independence.
Due to numerous requests, we are extending the registration deadline for the Paley Family Day until August 15 (Sunday)!
When an emotion shows up in you, this is how it informs you that something important is happening. When you feel joy, gratitude, peace, or other pleasant emotions, it means your needs are being met. However, when unpleasant emotions such as anger, sadness or jealousy predominate, it is a sign that your vital needs need to be noticed and met.
Dear Friends, we would like to invite you for the second edition of the Paley Family Day! Celebrate with us Saturday, September 18th. We will start at 10.00 a.m. Just like last year, we go to Julinek – a unique amusement park located near Warsaw.
